Felony murder laws, as they currently exist in many jurisdictions, hold individuals liable for murder if they were involved in a felony during which a death occurred, regardless of their intent or level of participation in the fatal act. The NATCO firmly believes that these laws are unjust, disproportionately impacting vulnerable communities, and leading to severe miscarriages of justice.
